Historical hair - time assessment- initial idea

For my time assessment I choose 1940's Victory rolls, so let start it...Below I attached some photo fro 1940's  which I wanna recreate the look. Hopefully won't be difficult. Below I attached some pictures of my idea, which I gonna do it in my final historical look.


The Victory Roll is the most requested style at Lipstick and Curls and yet the one our customers find so difficult to replicate! The victory roll began it’s journey in the 1940’s when ladies, who at this time wouldn’t have had many beauty tools and products available to them, would use this hair style to give the hair more height and shape and also a bit of character within these somber times. The Victory Roll was actually a fighter plane maneuver and the ladies took this term and made it their own.  A much loved style that has been resurrected and is being used today in modern fashions.



Ok first look its just a draw, I want it to do Victory rolls, but my acrylic wig has fringe, so will do more then two rolls on the top of the head, rest hair I gonna curl like on the pictures and with flat brush I will style them forward to face .

 My second idea is doing two Victory rolls like on the pictures then, rest of the hair curl on plastic rolls, a lit of bit back combing and pin them underneath the hair.

Third idea is make some Victory rolls like picture shown, then pin the rolls on the top of the head, all of them even behind them head, so first I was thinking to curl only the top of the head, to achieved nice curl, then smooth them behind and pin them, make updo style.

Last one is original photo, exactly what I will do on time assessment. I will do Victory rolls from the top also on the fringe, rest of the hair I will left loosing fall. So this is my mixed 1940's Victory Rolls look for time assessment.
