Wig Wonderland: Introduction to Unit

This project we are going to to explore how and why wig and postiche are used to transform a model or performer into the character that they are playing. Often and individual may need to change their appearance several times during a performance, photo shoot and they will look at how wig and postiche make this possible.

We have to choose a decade from last 100 years, research that decade, what facial and cultural influences reflected on how people wore their hair at that time. In the first part of the project , we must create a historically accurate hairstyle using a acrylic wig that you have to purchased to change our model appearance and transform them into another decade.Think about the character of our model, who are they and why have you chose them in this way the style. Foe example are they 50s housewife, or 70s hippy, or punk rebel. we can used costume and make-up to support our final look.
